How We Help
Soapbox Stageworks is about community, telling the untold stories, and collaborating to make theatre entertaining, poignant, and place to give back. We are committed to donating 10% of each performance proceeds to a local nonprofit. Our latest Spring Fling One Act Series donated to Gathering for Women, a unique Monterey organization that helps homeless women get back on their feet and thrive. For out upcoming Women's Series, we will donate to the Central Coast Girls.Inc which empowers young women and girls to be brave, bold, and strong. Although the first two proceeds went to female oriented nonprofits, we don't discriminate and are excited to work with the colorful array of local nonprofits making the Monterey Peninsula a magical place to live.

full potential. The Girls Inc. Experience changes the trajectory of girls’ lives and prepares them for lifelong success.
"Founded in 2014, Gathering for Women (GFW), a non-profit organization based in Monterey California, that provides a safe, dignified walk-in center so homeless and at risk women can access valuable resources and address both their short and longer term needs. No other center on the Monterey Peninsula provides the same level of service to women who are homeless.
Understanding there is not a “one size fits all solution” and that each woman is an individual with their own history, circumstances, challenges, hopes and dreams, the GFW team is dedicated to personalized care."
